Description

Miller Industries is seeking to fill the position of Shipping/Receiving. This position is based in our Greeneville, Tennessee manufacturing facility and will be a part of our Shipping department.

Summary:

Works as part of the shipping and receiving team performing daily tasks as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Assist in loading and unloading of trucks.
  • Build kit boxes for shipments using BOM.
  • Stock parts in the warehouse area.
  • Assist with receiving duties
  • Palletize parts using a bander or shrink wrap.
  • Keep shipping and receiving area as well as the outside area clean and organized.
  • Verifies all paperwork and material for incoming and outgoing shipments match up correctly.
  • Helps with all inventory counts.
  • Operates forklift or pallet jack to move product throughout the facility.
  • Empties trash dumpsters
  • Any other duties assigned by lead person or supervisor.
  • Willing to work overtime as required

Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Computer Skills

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of LN and Logistics software.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • Ability to pass forklift written and driving test.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine correspondence. 

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. 

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.  Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
