Miller Industries is seeking a Chassis Sales person in Ooltewah, TN.


Responsible for working with our suppliers and distributors to manage every aspect of the chassis ordering process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

  • Maintain and update chassis inventory Excel spreadsheets daily to ensure accuracy.
  • Communicate with distributors via telephone and email regarding chassis needs, questions, and concerns.
  • Communicate with chassis suppliers regarding the ordering of chassis, purchase orders, obtaining chassis specs and pricing and other Miller chassis needs.
  • Process all chassis orders, including sales orders, purchase orders, receiving chassis into inventory, and other functions in our LN system.
  • Track the shipment of chassis to ensure accuracy and proper invoicing of chassis.
  • Run various reports regarding various aspects of chassis sales and monitoring current open chassis orders.
  • Communicate with distributors regarding any promotions or discounts on chassis.
  • Complete shipping reports from suppliers to track shipping and proper invoicing.
  • Other duties as necessary
  • Position is in sales, but is predominantly administrative

Education and Work Experience

  • Two year degree minimum
  • Experience in a sales/customer service type environment

Specific Knowledge and Skills

  • Moderate computer skills-strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel.
  • Interpersonal Skills- the individual has a pleasant personality, remains open to others’ ideas and exhibits willingness to try new things.
  • Oral communication-the individual speaks clearly and persuasively in all situations.
  • Written Communication-the individual edits work for spelling and grammar, presents numerical data effectively and is able to read and interpret written information.
  • Planning/organization-the individual prioritizes and plans work activities, uses time efficiently and develops realistic action plans.
  • Problem solving-the individual identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner and gathers and analyzes information skillfully.
