As the World’s leader, Miller Industries provides a complete line of quality equipment including carriers up to 30 feet in length with deck capabilities of up to 40,000 lb and towing recovery units with boom capacities of 100 tons.

SUMMARY:

Supports and works closely with Controller, ensuring all financial controls and procedures are followed in accordance with GAAP. This position strengthens controls over financial reporting, performs financial statement reviews, and provides financial reporting and analysis to site leaders. This role will oversee accounts payable, and capital expenditures function as well as assist in monthly and quarterly close activities by preparing monthly journals and account analysis

KEY DELIVERABLES:

  • Manage the accounts payable group, and general ledger
  • Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations and financial statements for all facets of the business unit
  • Assist in ensuring all financial statements are accurate and complete
  • Organize and support year end physical inventory audits
  • Support staff by assessing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintain employee relationships

KEY ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs month-end closings
  • Performs Financial Statement & Trend Analysis
  • Performs general ledger and closing processes
  • Reviews financial controls to identify any potential weaknesses and recommends corrective action procedures
  • Responds to inquiries from management about financial results
  • Prepares all account reconciliations
  • Participates in audits of company accounts and produces requested documents
  • Communicates with individuals at all levels within the organization
  • Performs work according to Controller's directives
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOUR EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES ARE:

  • BS/BA Degree with an emphasis in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of related experience or training.
  • Excellent understanding of U.S Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities across all levels of the organization.
  • Must possess strong IT business systems analysis skills working with automated accounting and/or ERP systems.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and/or customers.
  • Must be accurate and detail oriented with good time management skills.
  • Should have strong problem-solving skills: to identify problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions ' solutions.

PAY:

$80,000 - $100,000 depending on experience
